2000-07-02 - 04:03:24 Ever have one of those days when you know you're close to something? You're so close... so very close... you can almost feel it. You're about three, maybe four seconds away from actually touching it. It's so very close you can practically smell it. And you get closer. Each second seems to pass as if it were a year. You can count every single line on the feathered wing of a humming bird. Every single detail seems to be even more pronounced than a microscopic view could show. You're so close that you can feel the weight of every bit of oxygen which enters your lungs. You can see details as if you were looking at each, individual page of a flip-action book (who remembers those, eh?). And then, just as you're about to touch this thing... just as you're about to begin curling your fingers up to wrap around it... it's gone. Not even as substantial as mist... just... gone... Nope. Didn't think so...
