Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003 - 8:11 am 8 23 03 7a Luke 12 Since Im working up the paper for the church history intensive, I am working on an outline. I need to do some intensive research into the history of the Old Testament people who followed God. You see, Im of the opinion that the name Jew came from Judah Judaism. Therefore, before Judah was born, what were the God-followers called? Did they have a label? Regardless, this is the outline for the paper. The formatting doesnt hold over to the diary, but thats okay. I have the proper formatting in my word processing program. I Past A Original Design 1 Adam and Eve personal communion with God 2 daily, blameless walk with God B Gods Church Legalism 1 Rules the 10 commandments a blessings for obeying the rules b curses for disobedience 2 Traditions the instructions for living life C Judaism 1 Pharisees a Luke 12:1-12 2 Sadducees 3 Jew vs Gentile II Present A Jesus death began the present He was, and is and is to come! 1 Luke 12:35-48 The Son of man will come at an hour when you do not expect him v40 The Jews didnt expect Jesus even when He was there. They specifically didnt expect Jesus as the sacrificial Lamb, nor as their savior/our savior. B The Kingdom of God is Now 1 God is beyond time 2 Jesus is God with God as God 3 Jesus died and because of this we are: a saved b dead to the flesh c reborn into the spirit i one with Jesus ie: we are God with God as God because Jesus lives within us. III Future A Truly living as God with God Living in the Spirit 1 Performing miracles a healing b casting out demons 2 Living beyond the physical a walking on water b moving mountains Thats what Ive got so far. If any of you readers has suggestions for Bible verses, or additional text which might flesh out this paper, Id greatly appreciate knowing about it. Leave a message in the Guest Book
