Sell Outs

Alright folks... I've had enough of people whining and complaining about how Metallica sold out with Load and the subsequent ReLoad. Wake up, Dorks. Metallica did not sell out THEN! They sold out before they released their first album.

Music is a subjective art form; which means that what the audience likes, changes according to each person in it. As a musician, in order to HAVE an audience, you must play what that audience wants to hear. And, that means that sometimes the singer has to compromise his/her musical values so that the audience is happy.

Most musicians/singers you hear today have, at least once, sacrificed their own musical values (sold out). Many have sacrificed their morals as well. (I would use Madonna as an example, but I'm not so sure she had morals to begin with.) But, these performers didn't sell out AFTER they were on the radio. They sold out to GET on the radio.

They sold out to make the record YOU paid for. If you're so un-fuckin-happy, don't buy the music. Really, think about it. If YOU don't like what you hear, Don't fuckin listen to it!!!

Take a little advice from Tool...

I've got some bad advice for you, little buddy. Before you point your finger you should know that I'm the man. If all you can do is whine about how your favorite band isn't pandering to YOUR whims, maybe you should just *gasps* stop buying their music!

Take some responsibility for your life. I don't see anyone grabbing you, throwing you into a record shop and forcing you to buy music at gunpoint. SO, quit your bitchin. If you don't like it, don't listen to it. turn off the radio. Go rot your brain by watching Barney on TV. Leave music to those people who truly understand what it takes to be good!!!

And... "Point your fuckin finger up your ass"

Metallica is SUCH a "sell out" band that they STILL pack every venue they play, they sell out in record stores and they have millions upon millions of fans.

It's not Metallica's fault that you're so damned, fucking fickle. And, if you don't know what that word means, look it up in the dictionary.
