The Tangential Chaos of A Child Of God

Subversion techniques and defamatory conspiracy theories

2001-04-05 - 10:39 p.m.

This is an entry Ive been thinking about for a long while. Im sure that some of you are very into the whole Anime thing. I dont mean just the classical stuff, but the offshoots too... such as, the Digimon, Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z stuff too. As my personal disclaimer, I am not writing this the intent to offend.

I am merely posing an idea... a theory, if you will.

Granted, I know almost nothing about Japanese culture or business practices but that which Ive read or seen in fictional books and movies. I dont know anything about Japanese International policies. Nor do I know anything about whether or not the Japanese leadership has any interest or plan to take over the US.

But Im curious.

Im wondering just how innocent these childrens cartoons are. The whole Anime thing has exploded in popularity over the past decade. I see Digimon and Pokemon characters almost every day. I see children hyped up for this animation. I see teens all gung-ho over Bulma and Tenchi and other high-profile characters. I see adults excited over and collecting various Anime characters and storylines.

In my opinion, it would make sense to me to seed a population I wanted to subvert and control, with something which seemed completely inocuous. I wonder just how innocent this Anime is.

I dont mean the art itself. I firmly believe that artistic technique/style is completely free of ulterior motives. For instance, I have a few friends who draw Anime. The style is blameless. The person using the style is what Im questioning. Ya know... the motives and the things that people put into their drawings/artwork.

I am not trying to cast any aspersions onto the style. None whatsoever.

This is my thought...

If I were patient and desired to subvert a country that was more powerful as well as one that had already embarrassed me, I would find something that would addict the children. Something that would sway the allegience of said children to my cause. I would continue feeding this thing to my intended victims for years, building a definate foundation. Then, when three or four generations had been seeded with my message, I would uncover the force I had been covertly amassing and I would strike, having at least two generations of supporters living within the boarders of my target country.

Granted, this is a completely unfounded theory. I have absolutely no proof and I have no back up. I think, however, it would at the very least, be a good premise for a Lone Gunman episode. *chuckles*

Seriously though, I think about this. First off, Anime has taken a firm hold in American Culture. I dont know what the stats are, nor do I really know how to look them up, but I imagine that theres a very high percentage of the average family budget that goes toward the purchase of Anime character products. (ie: plush toys, cards, stickers, notebooks, etc)

Again, I have no evidence, either actual or circumstantial, I just think its an interesting concept. Could the Japanese leaders have planned to seed American youth with ideas and concepts, couching them in innocent cartoons?

And this brings me to my next thought. What do these cartoons teach our youth? And adults for that matter.

This leads me to another tangent... If you had the intention of subverting and taking over a country which was militarily more powerful, how would you do it?

Thats not where this pseudo-rant ends, folks... It gets a little more offensive. *chuckles*

What is it about the Tenchi character that makes him so irresistable to women? What does he have that supposedly makes every woman want him? From what little Ive seen, hes a short, foolish, stupid, young boy (aproximately 15?) who is basically a coward and has no capacity whatsoever to think a situation through. And yet, young girls and older women supposedly want him, fight over him and find him completely and utterly irresistable.

Um... Why?

And whats with this assinine obsession with young school girls? The whole pre-teen girl, fully developed, being sexually active with obviously more mature men? Um, hello? Is anyone paying attention here? Doesnt that seem a hell of a lot like saying its okay for adult males to fuck pre-teen girls? Isnt that statutory rape?

*shrugs slightly*

I have a specific example in mind. This is older Anime. Considered, by some, to be classic Anime. Im talking about the La Blue Girl series.

That series is sexually deviant and perverse. The heroine/s is/are young school-age girls with quite large chests, dressed in scant clothing, with big-eyed innocence on their faces. If I remember correctly, their power is in their sex. And Im not talking gender here. In the most banal of terms, they win by fucking.

This series is placed in the childrens video section. yet, the content is such that I would classify it as hard-core porn. Violent porn, no less.

The two scenes I remember having seen are as follows:

One girl is tortured by a demon which grows many penises and rapes her in every orriface... mouth, vagina, anus... while having her breasts bound with penis-tenticles. At one point, she even has these penis tenticles pushing into her ears. Atop that, she is moaning and writhing in pleasure. No lie... the gasps and moans I heard were not of pain or fear, but of pleasure.

Another scene was a female being tortured by being suspended by her wrists, bound above her head, over a massive sword. (no phallic symbolism there... *rolls her eyes*) She was raised and lowered upon this sword. And yes, it was inside her. That wasnt the extent of it, either. She was actually moaning, again in pleasure.

In my opinion, that is disgustingly sick. And, remember, folks, this series is placed in the childrens cartoon section with all the other Anime flicks.

Do Japanese people actually think of this stuff? Is it a dis-information ploy? Is it merely one persons power trip? And where does the sexual stuff come into play? Are we supposed to think that Japanese men are only attracted to school girls? Are we to think that sex is the only way for a woman to win a fight? Are we to believe that the average Japanese man (as exemplified by Tenchi) is a sexual powerhouse and irresistable to women?

Is this all just a coincidence? Am I making a mountain out of a spec of dust? Or, could there actually be something to this conspiracy theory?

I fully realize that I could be full of shit here. And, Im not seriously saying that I think Japanese leaders are seeding American peoples with subversive materials with the intent of conquering the US in another 50 years. I do, however, think that theres a lot of Anime and Japan orriented content/product focused at children. I know that subliminal content is NOT impossible and that it does happen, quite often. I know that there are a lot of people, not only children, that are highly in favor of the various different aspects of Anime. I know that the premise of Pokemon is to own and train cute looking creatures to fight and kill other creatures. I know that if I wanted to subvert a nation, I would start by conditioning the children. I believe that the American People, in general, are highly susceptible to various different forms of mania. (ie: Beanie Babies, Barbie, Cabbage Patch Kids, etc.) I know that most children are highly susceptible to suggestion.

Think about it and share your opinions.

Again, I am not saying that we need to tak an extremist view. I am not saying that Japan is the bad guy. All Im saying is tha tthese are questions tumbling around in my head.

I am saying that the La Blue Girl series is sick and sexually perverse. It is pornography couched in a cartoon. it definately sends a bad and sick message -- which is that young girls like violent and cruel sex and that females can only win a fight by fucking. That can also be interpreted as a warning to males that females can destroy men with sex.

Maybe my own new-found self-respect and awareness is giving me a false idea of what sex is, or should be. Perhaps my own sexual bias is such that Im tainting my own view of what other people consider normal.

I dont think so in regard to La Blue Girl. I think my perception of that series is dead on!

PS. For those of you who are curious, I saw a few of the scenes from one of the La Blue Girl series, (at the time there were six movies in the series, I believe) aproximately five years ago. There are a lot of details Ive forgotten and I am not all that keen on remembering any of it. A friend and the ex were watching the flicks. Its not really my gig.

And, if youre into the whole porno thing... thats your gig. If you like violent/cruel/painful sex stuff, dont tell me. If youre into young girls, PLEASE dont tell me!!!

Just a few things to think about.

How would YOU subvert an enemy?
